About cyclone season
Cyclones can form roughly from November to April, with the highest risk from January to March. Many years pass without a direct hit, but a nearby cyclone can bring days of rain and rough sea. Mauritius has a clear warning system (classes I to IV), and hotels know the drill. Travel insurance is a good idea in these months.
